Special thanks to Sharon and Andy for their kindness, warm hospitality, the "free tea" and for giving me the chance to experience a close encounter with their wonderful birds. It was a great experience to soar with eagles, fly with falcons and hoot with an owl and I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time experiencing it yourself. A day to remember I should say.

SCHOOL/EDUCATIONAL VISIT

In the summer holidays I ran a day for Gifted and Talented students and decided upon Birds of Prey as a theme. I was given Sharon's name by a colleague and so made a booking. I am pleased to say that the day was a huge success which can be attributed to Sharandys. It was brilliant to see the students so involved and learning about the countryside in which they live.

Sharon gave an informative talk and then the students were allowed to handle the birds - one of the highlights of the day. Educational resources were also provided and really made the students think. Most people even enjoyed the gruesome task of dissecting some pellets.

I would thoroughly recommend Sharandys to anyone, it is particularly good if you are looking for an interesting activity to support the national curriculum as it ties in perfectly with work on habitats and adaptation.

Perhaps these students will go on to take up falconry as a hobby or just be more aware of the dangers facing some of these beautiful birds.

The level of tuition and amount of information and hands on experience has been second to none! Brill and excellent value for money!!

The welfare of the Birds has been a focal point throughout.

It is a refreshing change to meet with such a devoted team, you have helped a young man go a fair way to realising his dream and to achieve new goals and learn new skills!! Your never ending patience has shone through this week, for this I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For two wittering, woosy women to overcome fears and also become more involved was a major achievement, no mean feat!!!!!

We sincerely hope that your business continues to grow and hope to return before too long. The added bonus of a Lantra Award has been a huge incentive for a certain member of our group keen to progress.

Andy you have triggered Betts love and passion for “Owls”, Falcons will always be secondary though the void/gap is being reduced the more she handles the Harris Hawks, and she has her eyes on the other aspects of handling now and no longer has the fear of the Birds that was so very evident at the very start of the course.
