Many thanks for looking after us on Wednesday afternoon - it was absolutely brilliant!
To be able to fly Kiya in such a close up personal way was such an experience and to end with Saxon the Golden Eagle sitting on your arm, all 8lbs of him - wow!
I have attached the pictures that Carol took and although some of them didn't come out for some reason, the one of Kiya sitting on the gate is great.

SCHOOL/EDUCATIONAL VISIT
In the summer holidays I ran a day for Gifted and Talented students and decided upon Birds of Prey as a theme. I was given Sharon's name by a colleague and so made a booking. I am pleased to say that the day was a huge success which can be attributed to Sharandys. It was brilliant to see the students so involved and learning about the countryside in which they live.
Sharon gave an informative talk and then the students were allowed to handle the birds - one of the highlights of the day. Educational resources were also provided and really made the students think. Most people even enjoyed the gruesome task of dissecting some pellets.
I would thoroughly recommend Sharandys to anyone, it is particularly good if you are looking for an interesting activity to support the national curriculum as it ties in perfectly with work on habitats and adaptation.
Perhaps these students will go on to take up falconry as a hobby or just be more aware of the dangers facing some of these beautiful birds.
